Usually to work from anywhere without running a server, and to bring matter management, documents and accounting into one cloud system. PCLaw's publisher also promotes Leap as its cloud alternative, so many firms hear about it at renewal time.
Clients, matters, open balances, unbilled time, unpaid invoices and trust balances are the core of any migration. Exactly what is carried across, and how much history, is confirmed in writing during the assessment, before you commit.
The cutover is usually a weekend. Preparation, clean-up and the trial run typically take two to six weeks before that, depending on the size and condition of your data.
You can stay. PCLaw is still developed and sold, and we support every version. If you are being encouraged to move and are not sure it is right for your firm, we will give you an independent view.
They remain yours. We leave you with a read-only PCLaw archive so that old matters and transactions can be looked up for as long as you are required to keep them.
